Truth Over Silence

PROJECT 3

On August 28, 2025, Fe y Esperanza proudly partnered with San Diego Youth Services, Point Loma Nazarene University, the Jackie Robinson YMCA, and other community organizations for Truth Over Silence, a community event focused on raising awareness about human trafficking and supporting survivors.

Throughout the event, our team hosted a resource table, connected with survivors, families, nonprofit organizations, and community leaders, and shared the mission of Fe y Esperanza.

Jessica Malone shared her survivor testimony, while her father, Gabriel Contreras, offered the unique perspective of a parent whose daughter survived trafficking—highlighting the profound impact exploitation has on the entire family.

The event also featured community resources, survivor stories, mental health advocates, and raffle giveaways, creating a welcoming space for education, connection, and hope.

Truth Over Silence reminded us that lasting change begins when communities come together to support survivors, raise awareness, and take action.

All donations are tax-deductible to the fullest extent permitted by law, making your generosity an investment in meaningful, lasting change.
