About Me

My name is Jessica Malone. I’m married and blessed with two beautiful children who inspire me every day. I am the co-founder of Fe y Esperanza, a survivor-led nonprofit dedicated to bringing hope and essentials to those in crisis.

Currently, I’m pursuing my studies in Early Childhood Education, driven by my passion for helping children and families thrive. Beyond my education, I serve as an advocate and leader, working to spread awareness about human trafficking, mental health, and the challenges survivors face.

Through my personal journey and professional path, I am committed to building safer, stronger, and more compassionate communities.

My Story

I’m a survivor.

My journey has been harrowing, heartbreaking, and—ultimately—transformative. When I was first rescued, I was deep in the grip of addiction, mentally fogged and broken. The systems meant to help me—doctors and police—saw me not as a victim, but as a criminal. Their lack of understanding and education made me feel disposable.

I learned, often painfully, just how hard it is to get the essentials you need—or to escape a horrific situation—when you’re mentally trapped, emotionally manipulated, and brainwashed. The world sees addiction; what they didn’t see was the trauma, the fear, and the desperate plea for help.

That’s why Fe y Esperanza was born. My mission is to spread awareness—about the realities of human trafficking, the intense trauma victims endure, and the critical need for mental health education. I know firsthand how quickly system response can shift from help to judgment, simply because people don’t understand.

I’m sharing my story so no one else has to walk that path alone.

What I’ve lived through—and the scars it’s left on me and my family—propel me to advocate for change. I want to educate institutions, communities, and individuals, so victims can get compassion and help—not stigma or shame—from the moment they’re rescued.

Above all, I want everyone to understand: recovery isn’t only physical—it’s mental, emotional, and deeply personal. And to rebuild a life, you need more than therapy or shelter—you need belief, support, and dignity.

My story isn’t just about survival—it’s about empowerment, awareness, and the deep belief that healing is possible.
